Betty J. Carey
Bentleyville resident enjoyed gardening, sewing
Betty J. Carey, 80, of Bentleyville, formerly of Fallowfield Township, died Friday, April 23, 2010, in Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington.
She was born March 26, 1930, in Bentleyville, a daughter of the late George and Georgianna Booth Fisher.
Mrs. Carey was a member of Memory Chapel, Eighty Four.
She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Carey also enjoyed crafts, flower gardening, sewing, cooking, baking and shopping.
On May 10, 1973, she married Robert H. Carey, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Robert Scicchitano (Shelby) of Ellsworth; two daughters, Marie Larimer (Roy) of Bentleyville and Roberta Carey Adams of Hamburg, N.Y.; a sister, Geraldine Wilson (Henry) of Bentleyville; seven grandchildren, Renee Kellerman (Doug), Eric Scicchitano (Amber), Cherie Livolsi (Sean), Angela Larimar, Valarie Hall, Ericka Adams and Robbie Adams; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, Monday, April 26, in Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, with the Rev. David Hall officiating. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Western Pennsylvania & West Virginia Chapter, River Walk Corporate Centre, Suite 441, 333 East Carson Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
